Purpose

Olive Branch Ministries is located in the Cedar Grove neighborhood, City Council District D. it was established in January 2000 as a non-profit organization, whose primary goals are economic and community development.

The mission of Olive Branch Ministries is "To engage the community of Cedar Grove and surrounding areas to partner with other organizations and programs to renew restore and revitalize this great neighborhood".

The sis (6) board members and a number of motivated volunteers contribute a diverse background of professionalizm in planning an implementing community projects to improve and enhance the quality of life for area residents. The various backgrounds of the board members include business owners accountants, and entrepreneurs that provide their expertise and finances in fulfilling the mission of this organization.

Olive Branch Ministries currently conducts a number of programs including neighborhood clean-ups, homebuyer workshops, community awareness meetings, health fairs, Women, Youth and Men Educational Conferences, and tutorial and computer labs for youth and adults.

Olive Branch Ministries seeks to build up the community through a number of programs, including Medicaid Enrollment, housing counseling, capacity building, and after school tutoring program called the Enrichment School, a mature adults ministry, a Neighborhood Investment Program which works on community inbestment projects, and a summer food program.
